Effects of lonliness

Studies have shown that the effect of loneliness not only harms our mental health, but physical health as well.  For example, it can raise blood pressure and increase the risk of heart attacks. While it is common for everyone to experience loneliness as a temporary emotion, this feeling for prolonged periods of time can having damaging effects in various ways.  Loneliness also raises concerns in terms of mood disorders.  Anxiety and depression can be directly linked this emotion.  In addition, mental health issues problems have been seen to surge throughout the global pandemic.  This raises concern to the issue of loneliness.  For example, loneliness has been at the forefront of issues concerning individuals as a result of the impact of the pandemic, early data suggests.  While there is numerous amounts of evidence supporting the fact that the pandemic has created primarily negative effects on mental health, there is also research that supports the fact that the isolation has caused for us to be creative in the ways we connect with people despite the physical distance. This will eventually lead to success in terms of mental health states of many people. Researchers suggest that loneliness is more than just not interacting with people.  For example, people who feel lonely don’t necessarily have no enough interactions with people, but the lack of meaningful interaction is ultimately what creates the feeling of loneliness.

My opinion: mental health leads to many different factors that can harm someone’s well being, and the effect loneliness has is one of the most notable ones. I think that to not feel lonely and to be surrounded and feel complete by other people is a feeling not to take for granted as loneliness can harm both our physical and mental states of mind. Other people affect us in ways we don’t even realize, and by showing interest and caring about one’s life you may be doing more than you think you are.
